2017 Pre-Orders – Part 2

I’m about a month late with this post but I wanted to share my pre-orders for the next few months. Some of these are special editions, some are signed, and some are new releases that I can’t wait to read. I have nothing pre-ordered for November or December yet, but there’s plenty of time!

August

The Half-Drowned King – Linnea Hartsuyker (08/08/17)

Goldsboro Books

Described as a ‘Viking Game of Thrones’ and recommended by Madeline Miller, who wrote one of my favourite books, I couldn’t resist pre-ordering the limited edition of this book from Goldsboro Books. It will be signed by the author exclusively for Goldsboro, so this is the only place you can buy signed copies in the UK.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer – Leigh Bardugo (31/08/17)

Waterstones

I read an early copy of this and loved it so couldn’t turn down the chance to own a limited edition hardback with signed bookplates. A friend is sending me the signed US hardback but I think the simplicity of this edition is gorgeous.

September

My Absolute Darling – Gabriel Tallent (01/09/17)

Goldsboro Books

This is the Goldsboro BOTM for September and will be a signed, limited edition with sprayed edges. It’s been described as a ‘masterpiece’ by Stephen King, which is a pretty great endorsement.

Genuine Fraud – E. Lockhart (05/09/17)

Waterstones

I still haven’t read We Were Liars yet but I’m going to trust that I’ll love it and therefore should pre-order the signed edition of E. Lockhart’s new book.

Godsgrave – Jay Kristoff (14/09/17)

Goldsboro Books

When Goldsboro announced they were releasing a limited, numbered edition of this book, I was lucky enough to snap up one of the 250 copies. Fingers crossed I now hopefully stumble across one of the numbered, limited editions of Nevernight to complete my set.

Warcross – Marie Lu (14/09/17)

A Great Read

I’ve pre-ordered this book because of twitter. It seems to have dominated my feed for months so I have to see what all the fuss is about.

A Skinful of Shadows – Francis Hardinge (21/09/17)

Waterstones

This is another exclusive signed edition with sprayed edges. This was a total cover-buy though, so fingers crossed it’s good.

Sleeping Beauties – Stephen King and Owen King (26/09/17)

WHSmith

I had the standard edition of this pre-ordered and then came across this exclusive one by chance. It’s going to have a gorgeous purple cover so I couldn’t resist.

Starfish – Dani Akemi Brown (26/09/17)

Amazon

This is another Twitter-recommended purchase. I’ve seen some brilliant reviews for this over the last few weeks so decided to take a chance on it and pre-order.

October

Brooding YA Hero: Becoming a Main Character (Almost) as Awesome as Me – Carrie DiRisio (03/10/17)

Amazon

I follow this account on Twitter so had to pre-order this for a bit of light reading.

American War – Omar El Akkad (06/10/17)

Goldsboro Books

After reading Harry Illingworth’s passionate praise of this book, I decided to pre-order the limited edition from Goldsboro. It’s going to be signed and numbered, with sprayed edges and a ribbon marker.

All the Crooked Saints – Maggie Stiefvater (10/10/17)

Amazon

The Raven Cycle is one of my favourite series so Maggie Stiefvater is now an auto-buy author for me. The cover of this one is so beautiful too.

Turtles All the Way Down – John Green (10/10/17)

Amazon US

I have a signed edition pre-ordered from Amazon US as it was such a reasonable price. I loved The Fault In Our Stars so hope this is as good.

La Belle Sauvage: The Book of Dust Volume One – Philip Pullman (19/10/17)

Amazon

His Dark Materials is one of the best series I’ve ever read so this was a must-have for me. I am so excited to read it.

A Darker Shade of Magic: Collector’s Edition – V. E. Schwab (31/10/17)

Amazon

This is one of those books I haven’t read yet but keep meaning to so thought this beautiful edition would be the place to start.

I’m pretty sure that’s all my pre-orders at the moment. There’s a lot more than I realised! 🙈
