2018 Preorders – July / August / September
I’m trying to keep on top of my preorders to reduce my book-buying as much as possible. I have Fairyloot and Owlcrate coming each month as well but won’t put my guesses here as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
July
Night Flights – Philip Reeve
I love the Mortal Engines series so had to preorder the signed edition of Night Flights from Waterstones. The book includes three original stories about Anna Fang, accompanied by illustrations.
Spinning Silver – Naomi Novik
I finally read Uprooted this year and loved it so had to order the limited, signed edition of Spinning Silver from Goldsboro. If you missed out on a copy, Waterstones and Forbidden Planet are both offering signed editions.
August
Catwoman: Soulstealer – Sarah J Maas
To match the rest of my collection, I’ve preordered the Waterstones exclusive edition of Catwoman: Soulstealer which comes with a signed bookplate. I’m really looking forward to this one.
Nyxia Unleashed – Scott Reintgen
Even though this is a July release, the Goldsboro signed edition won’t be available until August. I have the first book in the series on my TBR and, since I’ve heard such good things about it, I had to preorder the sequel.
September
Time’s Convert – Deborah Harkness
I love the All Souls trilogy so can’t wait to read more about Marcus and Phoebe. Waterstones are offering signed editions that I couldn’t resist.
The Clockmaker’s Daughter – Kate Morton
I’m hoping Waterstones offers a signed edition for sale as apparently there’s going to be an Independent Booksellers edition which includes an exclusive extra chapter and a special design underneath the dust jacket. If not, I’ll order from Goldsboro.
I’m really pleased with my number of preorders for once as I usually have way too many and forget about them. I tend to buy the rest of my books on a whim and only preorder special editions that are at risk of selling out.

June 19, 2018 at 4:37 PMOh my goodness, I did not realise Kate Morton was coming out with another book! I’ve not read her books for a few years now but they’re what got me into that style of historical fiction. I also cannot wait for Time’s Convert. I’m also going to pre-order it from Waterstones because I really want that signed copy, and I love the All Souls Trilogy.

June 19, 2018 at 4:42 PMIt really is beautiful. It’s certainly my favourite out of all her book covers. Now I know this is coming out, I should hype myself up by re-reading her previous books.
