90s Movie Book Tag
She’s All That – a book couple that are an odd pairing but still fit perfectly.
Luc and Oliver from Boyfriend Material are opposites in a lot of ways but somehow work when they’re together.
10 Things I Hate About You – a book or series that you have a love/hate relationship with.
I think Twilight would qualify as I did love it when I first read it and was swept away by the hype around the films too. But I’m also aware it’s problematic and readers need to be aware of this.
Clueless – a character that is totally clueless but you love them anyway.
Alex Claremont-Diaz from Red, White & Royal Blue was pretty oblivious when it came to his feelings for Prince Henry.
Titanic – a book that made you cry.
The last book I teared up at was The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. Please read it if you haven’t yet!
American Pie – a book that made you laugh.
I laughed multiple times when reading Heartbreak Boys by Simon James Green. It’s so British!
Can’t Hardly Wait – a book with a crazy party.
I always loved Magnus Bane throwing parties for his cat, Chairman Meow, plus the one in City of Bones was when he met Alec for the first time.
Cruel Intentions – a character you can never fully trust.
Harrow from Harrow the Ninth is the ultimate unreliable narrator. You can’t trust anything about this book.
Drive Me Crazy – favourite couple with the “boy/girl next door”.
I almost went with Jo and Laurie but settled on Emma and Mr Knightley from Jane Austen’s Emma.
Scream – a memorable villain.
Dracula definitely provides us with one of the most iconic villains of all time.
The Craft – a book with witches.
One of my favourite books is A Discovery of Witches so I’ll go with that one.
This tag was so much fun and definitely made me want to rewatch these films (although I’ve never seen Can’t Hardly Wait). Please feel free to consider yourself tagged if you’d like to take part.
