Bookish Tattoos I’d Love to Get
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can find all the information and upcoming prompts over on her blog. It’s such a fun idea and I love reading everyone’s posts and adding to my book wishlist.
This weeks prompt is a love themed freebie so I’ve decided to go with bookish tattoos I’d love to get one day. I’ve started a literary half-sleeve and really want to keep adding to it. So far I have a chocolate frog and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, a bracelet of flowers from Shakespeare with a ladybird and bee, the deathly hallows, a wand, and an Erin Morgenstern quote.
Doomslug is such an incredible character and encapsulates everything great about the Skyward series.
To celebrate my love of sci-fi books and space, I’d love a colourful tattoo similar to this design. I think this is from Carla Evelyn Tattoo. I’d also incorporate the scorpio sign somewhere.
I have an awkward space to fill and I think this would work if it was tilted. Plus, Luna is the greatest character so deserves her own tattoo. Pictured tattoo was designed by Tori Marie.
I’d love an ACOTAR tattoo eventually and something similar to this would be fantastic. Designed by Crystal Beard.
The beach is one of my favourite places and The Scorpio Races is one of my favourite books so I’d love a similar design to this with the quote “I am so, so alive” wrapped around the edges. Designed by Naryn.
I definitely want some sort of Jane Austen quote and I think just a simple design like this one would be perfect.
The style of this rose tattoo is stunning and I’d definitely have this using one of my favourite books. Maybe Strange the Dreamer or Jane Eyre. Unfortunately, I can’t find who designed this tattoo so please leave a comment if you know.
There’s a quote in Strange the Dreamer that resonates with me. Lazlo is describing his life as an hourglass with the sands that have already dropped being grey and the sands still to come being beautiful colours. Designed by Jacke Michaelson.
Another design I’d like is an anklet with different bookish symbols hanging from it. I’d include things like an angelic rune, a mockingjay, a trident, a lightning bolt etc. Designed by Hypnotic Tattoo.
I’d really love to design a special tattoo for the Winternight Trilogy as it means so much to me. It would definitely incorporate delicate snowdrops and a snowflake.
Do you have any bookish tattoos or any you’re dying to get?
