Books On My TBR I’ve Been Avoiding Because of the Hype

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can find all the information and upcoming prompts over on her blog. It’s such a fun idea and I love reading everyone’s posts and adding to my book wishlist.

This week’s prompt is books on your TBR piles you’re avoiding and why. I own copies of all these books but haven’t read them yet as the hype has been quite off-putting. I have such high expectations now that I don’t want to be disappointed.

Stalking Jack the Ripper – Kerri Maniscalco

Hunted – Meagan Spooner

Truthwitch – Susan Dennard

Shatter Me – Tahereh Mafi

A Curse So Dark and Lonely – Brigid Kemmerer

Deathless – Catherynne M. Valente

Scythe – Neal Shusterman

An Ember in the Ashes – Sabaa Tahir

An Enchantment of Ravens – Margaret Rogerson

The Bone Season – Samantha Shannon

Are there any books you’re avoiding on your TBR pile? If so, why?

I’m very intrigued by the Bone Season trilogy. Everyone says that it’s full of political intrigue which I looove!

One of the reasons I’ve been avoiding it is because I hate waiting a long time for each new book in a series. I’m so impatient lol.
