January TBR

As it’s the start of a new year, I’m purposely keeping my TBR list at a minimum so I have more freedom to read what I want rather than being dictated by reading challenges.

The Abortionist's Daughter by Elisabeth Hyde

This month’s Litsy WhodunitUK choice looks like a quick read and sounds interesting.

Y is for Yesterday by Sue Grafton

Y is for Yesterday – Sue Grafton

I borrowed this from the library in December as I’ve read the whole series, so I was saddened to hear of Sue Grafton’s death last week. This is the last in the series and the perfect choice for my first read of 2018.

Love Story, With Murders by Harry Bingham

I discovered this series thanks to my Litsy WhodunitUK group and can’t wait to read the second book.

How Not To Be a Boy by Robert Webb

How Not To Be a Boy – Robert Webb

My main bookish resolution for 2018 is to read more non-fiction books so I thought I’d kick off with this one which is sure to be brilliant.

Animal by Sara Pascoe

Animal: The Autobiography of a Female Body – Sara Pascoe

Another non-fiction choice is this book which I received in a book swap last year. It sounds like a funny and thought-provoking read.

I have so many amazing books to read on my bookshelves that I’m planning to leave the rest of my TBR undecided so I can read whatever I feel like.

Happy New Year and may you all have a bookish January!

I have The Abortionists Daughter on my TBR too. It’s been there for years.

It hasn’t crossed my list before now but I’m looking forward to it. I love reading new books thanks to the book group.
