June Owlcrate Unboxing: Summer Lovin’!
I’m subscribed to Owlcrate so I would have been buying this box anyway but I actually won one of their photo challenges so got the box free, which was amazing. The theme was Summer Lovin’ and the box was carefully curated for a summer’s day.
THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS!
This is your last chance to avoid spoilers for the June 2018 Owlcrate box!
The first item was this stunning exclusive microfibre towel designed by Stella Bookish Art. I’m not even sure how they managed to fit this in the box. It’s a shame I live in north-east England as it probably won’t get a lot of use as a beach towel.
While you’re relaxing on the beach towel, you can use this exclusive mason jar mug designed by Michelle Gray and Team Owlcrate to hold a cooling drink. Just in case you can’t read the quote, it says “Bookworm and Proud”. They also included some Riddle’s Tea Shoppe apple tea inspired by Since You’ve Been Gone, which can be used to make iced tea.
My favourite item was this exclusive woodmark from Ink & Wonder inspired by Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. Anyone who knows me (or has glanced at my bookstagram page) will know I’m obsessed with Paris’s designs so this is perfect.
Also included was this very cute cactus pen from BC Mini. Owlcrate suggests it would be perfect for writing your holiday postcards and I have to agree. Although my sister actually took this as soon as she saw it!
This month’s book was an exclusive signed edition of From Twinkle With Love, plus author letter and exclusive keychain. The entire dustjacket is different this time which really makes it stand out. I guessed that this would be the book and was super excited as I loved the ARC and, if you somehow didn’t know this by now, MY DOG IS FEATURED IN CHAPTER 5! I adore the cute keychain that was included as well and have already added it to my car keys.
As you can see from the full unboxing, it was crammed full of summer goodies. Every item was perfect for a beach holiday and the designs were all beautiful. Owlcrate has definitely proven how well they can curate a themed box and I can’t wait for the next one.
The July theme is ‘Strange & Unusual’ and the book they’re including is such fun. Plus it’s an exclusive, signed edition which is even better. You can expect this box to be filled with quirky goodies inspired by Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, The Raven Boys, Harry Potter, Stranger Things and more.
I saw on their Instagram page that new subscribers can use the code STRANGE at checkout to save 10% off your first subscription and I would really recommend this box if you haven’t tried it before.
