March Book Box Club Unboxing

Continuing with my trials of subscription boxes, this month I received my first Book Box Club, which was themed Under the Sea. I used a 50% code that I was sent on Facebook so was eager to see how it compares to Fairyloot and Illumicrate.

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS SO PLEASE STOP READING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT WAS IN THE MARCH BOOK BOX CLUB!!!

First up was a gorgeous pendant created exclusively for this box by Oh Panda Eyes and featuring a quote from Little Women by Louise May Alcott.

Next up is this stunning, high-quality mermaid water bottle designed by Book Box Club.

The box smelled beautiful as soon as I opened it thanks to the Siren Song bath bomb from Ascent Bath and Body. It has the loveliest fragrance and I can’t wait to try it. There was also a pretty Mermaid Kisses lip balm created by Bliss Botanicals and flavoured with vanilla bean.

I have a slight obsession with bookmarks so the exclusive Swan Sisters bookmark set designed by Kimcarlika and inspired by this month’s book are my favourite items. The artwork is mesmerising!

Additionally, there were a few bookish goodies such as a Children of Blood and Bone sampler and a couple of postcards promoting upcoming releases.

The Wicked Deep - Book Box Club

And finally, this month’s book was The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw, which I’ve been looking forward to reading. It’s described as Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic meets the Salem Witch trials so it’s like it’s been written especially for me. There was also a signed bookplate which is always a lovely bonus.

Book Box Club

Overall, I loved this box. The Clubhouse is a great idea and I’m looking forward to taking part in the book group chat with special guest Shea Ernshaw. I do prefer my books to be hardbacks so, if this month’s choice had been the hardback version, the box would have been perfect. I will definitely try another box in the future though.

What a great box! I’m going to see if my library has The Wicked Deep yet – I’ve been reading Alice Hoffman’s The Rules of Magic so I’m very much in the mood for another book within this genre.

I’m hoping to read this after I finish Witchsign as it looks so good!
