My Most-Liked Bookstagram Photos of 2019

After choosing my personal favourite bookstagram photos for the year, I decided to compare these to my most-liked photos for each month. I chose to measure likes as I think audience engagement is the most important factor in growing an account.

“We are all stardust and stories.” 🗝 I was lucky enough to read THE STARLESS SEA a couple of months ago and fell in love with this beautifully lyrical story that’s perfect for bibliophiles. It’s definitely a book that benefits from multiple readings to fully appreciate though as there are so many layers and intricacies. 🗝 My Waterstones signed exclusive edition arrived today and their dust jacket is probably my favourite UK cover so far. I’ve also ordered the Goldsboro and Illumicrate copies and can’t wait to compare them. 🗝 #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookworm #bookaddict #igreads #bibliophile #bookstagramfeature #bookishfeatures #theStarlessSea #erinmorgenstern #stardustandstories

“You don't stop fighting a war just because you're losing battles.” 💚 THE DAEVABAD TRILOGY is one of my favourite fantasy series I've read in the last few years. THE CITY OF BRASS and THE KINGDOM OF COPPER are richly detailed epic fantasies with complex characters and the ability to emotionally wreck you. My copies are from @goldsborobooks and are signed with sprayed edges. I can't wait for the final book, THE EMPIRE OF GOLD, to be released in June 2020. Who else loves these books? 💚 #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookworm #bookaddict #igreads #bibliophile #bookstagramfeature #bookishfeatures #thecityofbrass #thekingdomofcopper #theempireofgold #sachakraborty #harpervoyager

It turns out that my most-liked photos rarely match my personal favourite photo each month. There was only one month when my favourite photo actually received the most likes. Unsurprisingly it was often a ‘big’ new-release that seemed to appeal to viewers.

For 2020, I’ll continue to showcase new releases as well as focusing on older titles. Heavily-floral photos were also popular over the year so this is another layout I’ll carry through. Apart from that, I’m going to continue taking photos I enjoy because I don’t want my bookstagram to ever become a chore.

If you have a bookstagram, leave your link below and I’ll be sure to follow.
