Six for Sunday: Characters I Want To Be Friends With.
#SixforSunday is hosted by Steph at A Little But A Lot and you can find the upcoming prompts for the second half of the year here.
The prompts for June are themed around bookish wishes and today’s is all about the bookish characters you’d want to be friends with.
[Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor]
Any bookworm can recognise that Lazlo is a kindred spirit who would make a great bookish friend. He’d understand your obsession with books and actively encourage it.
[Harry Potter – J. K. Rowling]
Hermione was the first character I really identified with because she was unashamedly in love with learning. She’d be the friend that enables you to be better thanks to her work ethic and bravery.
[Anne of Green Gables – L. M. Montgomery]
I’d have loved a friend like Anne when I was younger as she sees the world in a different way to everyone else. She’d always keep you entertained by inventing new games to play.
Blue & the Raven Boys
[The Raven Cycle – Maggie Stiefvater]
What do you know about Welsh kings? Not a lot but I’d be willing to find out more as part of this gang. I just love everything about them.
[Illuminae Files – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff]
I love Ella’s sarcastic humour as I share the same type and would love learning more about hacking from her. She’s the type of friend that can always get you out of a tight spot.
[A Court of Mist and Fury – Sarah J Maas]
I think Mor would make a great friend as she’s supportive, fair and loving. She’s that friend who brings you out of your shell and teaches you how to have fun.
If you want to take part, next week’s prompt is books with sunshine on the cover.
