Six for Sunday: Perfect Pool Reads

#SixforSunday is hosted by Steph at A Little But A Lot and you can find the upcoming prompts for the second half of the year here.

The prompts for August are themed around holidays and today’s is books that are perfect to read by the pool. Here are some of my favourite feel-good reads:

Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Red, White & Royal Blue

by Casey McQuiston

If you want a funny, witty and heartfelt romance then you need to pick up a copy of RWRB as soon as possible.

Daisy Jones & The Six

by Taylor Jenkins Reid

An oral history of a fictional 1970s band, this is one of those books that will completely engross you.

There's Something About Sweetie by Sandhya Menon

There’s Something about Sweetie

by Sandhya Menon

Sandhya Menon writes YA contemporary romances that are perfect for the poolside. Her latest is a rom-com all about learning to accept yourself.

Sanctuary by VV James

Sanctuary

by V. V. James

Gripping thrillers are always a holiday must-read and this was one I recently loved. It’s like Practical Magic meets Big Little Lies.

Heartstopper by Alice Oseman

Heartstopper

by Alice Oseman

Volumes 1 and 2 of this graphic novel are now available and they’re perfect for dipping in and out of. Nick and Charlie are just so lovely and the artwork is adorable.

My Lady Jane

by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

If you want a book that’s pure fun from beginning to end then you can’t go wrong with MLJ.

What are some of your favourite pool books?

I feel like Red, White, & Royal Blue and Heartstopper are the perfect pool reads! They’re both so cute and adorable and would be the perfect relaxing read while I chill at the pool!
