Spellhacker Book Tag

Spellhacker is such a fun YA fantasy written by M.K. England, featuring a magic heist, a MC with a non-binary love interest, and so much humour. It’s released in a couple of weeks on kindle then the hardback releases in the UK on March 5th.

To celebrate its upcoming release, I decided to take part in this tag created by the wonderful The Tsundoku Chronicles

Maz is the magic system in the group and similar to a natural resource that earth produces. What books have a unique magic system?

The Merciful Crow
(Margaret Owen)

This book uses tooth magic which was completely fascinating.

Diz is a tech genius and is able to hack just about anything! Which characters are your favourite hackers?

The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Ella Malikova from The Illuminae Files
(Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff)

Ella is a super talented hacker who refuses to let her disability define or limit her.

Ania is the princess of the group, but she is always ready to fight anyone who tries to hurt someone she loves. Who are your favourite rebellious princess characters?

Viper by Bex Hogan

Marianne from Viper
(Bex Hogan)

Marianne is the daughter of the Viper, defender of the Twelve Isles, and King of the Seas. Marianne is next in line but rebels against her father in an effort to protect the islands she loves.

Davon is Diz’s older cousin who she regards as a brother and her family. What books have great found families?

Clockwork Angel
(Cassandra Clare)

The bond between Jem and Will remains my absolute favourite in the Shadowhunter universe because they became family by choice.

Remi is smart and a genius in manipulating maz and a total fangirl! Who are your favourite smart, nerdy characters?

Lazlo Strange from Strange the Dreamer
(Laini Taylor)

Lazlo is a totally lovable geek, highly intelligent, and a true bibliophile.

Jaesin is the dad friend and will fight everyone to protect those he loves (and always wins). What characters do you think would always win in a fight?

Nona Grey from Book of the Ancestor Trilogy
(Mark Lawrence)

I’d always bet on Nona Grey to win a fight. Although imagine Nona fighting Mia Corvere?!

This book centres around Diz and her friends deciding to do one last heist before they all go their own ways. What books have great heists in the story?

Aurora Rising
(Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff)

This book features a heist which takes place on a trading hub populated by space pirates!

I loved taking part in this tag and it would be so great if some of you would consider taking part and help spreading the word about Spellhacker.
