Top Ten Tuesday – The Big Read TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can find all the information and upcoming prompts over on her blog. It’s such a fun idea and I love reading everyone’s posts and adding to my book wishlist.

This week’s prompt is:
Backlist Books To Read

For this prompt, I’ve decided to list ten books I still need to read from the BBC Big Read. I only have 22 out of 100 books left to read so I’m hoping to finish the challenge next year.

Catch-22 – Joseph Heller
Of Mice and Men – John Steinbeck
The Shell Seekers – Rosamunde Pilcher
The Thorn Birds – Colleen McCullough
Dune – Frank Herbert

A Prayer for Owen Meany – John Irving
The Grapes of Wrath – John Steinbeck
One Hundred Years of Solitude – Gabriel García Márquez
The Pillars of the Earth – Ken Follett
Gormenghast – Mervyn Peake

Are any of these must-reads? Which should I read first?

Half of these are on my TBR as well. I read Of Mice and Men in high school and it was one of my favorites! (Plus it’s super short.) I hope you get to these soon and enjoy them!

I think that’s the one I’ll read first!
