WWW Wednesday: 08 August 2018

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three Ws and leave your link on the on the main blog.

What are you currently reading?

My main read is Mirage by Somaiya Daud, which I’m reading as part of ARC August. It’s absolutely fantastic and I’d definitely recommend it. Alongside this, I’m dipping in and out of The World of All Souls. I reread the series this year in preparation for the TV adaptation and the release of Time’s Convert. On Serial Reader, I’m about 25% of the way through Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas.

What did you recently finish reading?

The last book I read was Kate Morton’s The Clockmaker’s Daughter. It was a gripping and lyrical historical fiction story exploring themes such as love, loss, and time. Another book I recently read was What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. It was even better than I’d hoped and I’ve already preordered the signed edition for my collection.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Since I’m taking part in ARC August, most of my reading for the rest of the month are ARCs. The next three books on my TBR pile are That’s Not What Happened by Kody Keplinger, Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, and These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch.

I’ve been debating about buying The World of All Souls for a while now and I’ve never got around to picking it up regardless of how much I want it, and how hyped I am for Time’s Convert and the TV show.

So far there’s not been a lot of new information. And it can be quite repetitive.

That sounds disappointing. Maybe I’ll have to find it in a Waterstones store and flick through it to see whether it’s worth me buying it then.

That’s definitely a good idea. There are some nice illustrations in it and I’m hoping I learn some new information as I keep reading!
