WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three Ws and leave your link on the on the main blog.
What are you currently reading?
I’ve just started The Devil in the Marshalsea which is this month’s Litsy Whodunit book. It’s a historical thriller set in the Marshalsea debtor’s prison and very atmospheric so far. I’m currently listening to Anne of Green Gables performed by Rachel McAdams. It’s my second time listening to this version – I’d love for Rachel McAdams to record the sequel. I’m plodding my way through Villette on Serial Reader but this is definitely my least favourite Brontë book so far.
What did you recently finish reading?
The Light Between Worlds was an absolutely incredible YA fantasy that asks what happens when you return to the normal world from somewhere like Narnia. There are content warnings on the author’s website as this deals with quite a few mental health issues. Chris Riddell has perfectly captured The Tales of Beedle the Bard, meaning this was a fun re-read for me. I’ve also just finished my re-read of The Scorpio Races, one of my all-time favourite books.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have a list of books I want to read before the end of the year and these three are all on it. The Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner, Mad Love by Paul Dini and Pat Cadigan, and The City of Brass by SA Chakraborty all sound incredible.
