WWW Wednesday: 22 May 2019

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three Ws and leave your link on the main blog.

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading my final book of this Litsy Whodunit round, The Blackhouse by Peter May. It’s incredibly atmospheric so far and the setting of the Isle of Lewis is richly detailed. On Serial Reader, I’m reading A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and I’m also listening to the audiobook of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished three very different books: Dark Hollow by John Connolly, Finale by Stephanie Garber, and The Railway Children by E Nesbit. I enjoyed them all and gave each a solid 4 stars.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I didn’t read any of the books I said I would last time so I probably won’t this time either but I do have one library book on loan so will definitely read that (The Buried Girl by Richard Montanari). Then I think I might read The Sharp Edge of a Snowflake by Sif Sigmarsdóttir and The Kingdom by Jess Rothenberg.

I realise my blog posts are very sporadic at the moment but I’m on some new medication that is making me incredibly tired. Hopefully, I’ll be back to my “normal” fatigue level soon and I can return to writing reviews etc.

Some very interesting and varied books! I have read one book by John Connolly and I enjoyed his writing style. Order of the Phoenix and Railway Children are both excellent reads.

Ooh ooh Sharp edge of the snowflake is really good, it takes a while to get going but it’s like a Wallander book just scaled back in mature content to teens.
