WWW Wednesday: 27 March 2019

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three Ws and leave your link on the main blog.

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading N.K. Jemisin’s short story collection How Long ‘Til Black Future Month?. There are some amazing stories included and a few that would make fantastic novels. I’m also reading The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur. I’ve been trying to read more poetry books this year and thought I’d try this one since I enjoyed her first collection.

What did you recently finish reading?

I’ve just finished The Five by Hallie Rubenhold, which focuses on the women killed by Jack the Ripper. It was very interesting and a long-awaited reminder that his victims deserve so much more. Before that, I read Gunslinger Girl by Lyndsay Ely and found it fast-paced and fun. I also recently read Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which definitely lived up to all the hype for me.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m trying to read books as I receive them so I think I’ll read Other Words For Smoke and Crown of Feathers next as both were sent by publishers this month. Then maybe I’ll read The Waking Forest which was a gift.

ABSOLUTELY. I think it adds a whole new dimension to the story. The cast does an amazing job of bringing the emotions to the surface.
