WWW Wednesday: 30 January 2019

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On A World of Words. All you have to do is answer the three Ws and leave your link on the main blog.

What are you currently reading?

I’ve just begun King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. I know if I don’t start it as soon as it’s delivered, it will lie on my TBR pile for months. My current non-fiction read is The Secret Library by Oliver Tearle. It’s okay so far but skims too much for my liking. I’m also still reading Shirley by Charlotte Brontë on Serial Reader.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished Enchantée by Gita Trelease last night and loved it. If you enjoy well-researched YA historical fantasy, Paris, and magic then you should pre-order this one. Michelle Obama’s autobiography Becoming was fantastic and I’m so glad my library hold finally came in. Continuing my plan to read all the Shadowhunter books, I also finished Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. This had some of my favourite stories in, especially Born to Endless Night and the Whitechapel Fiend. Plus a new favourite character – George Lovelace.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I think I’ll continue reading any books sent from publishers or via NetGalley. The two books released in February I need to read are Black Leopard Red Wolf by Marlon James, and The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I also want to read Our Child of the Stars by Stephen Cox which I was sent a couple of weeks ago.
